We work alongside a number of great groups, organizations, and businesses that seek to build up the Kingdom of God. Some of them have been innovated within our community, some of them have started separately from our community.
Jesus spoke much about building the Kingdom of God in Matthew 13:1-52. We want to partner with individuals who live out their faith by their words and actions (Col. 3:17), serving alongside them by the power and inspiration of the gospel to make our neighborhoods, streets, city and world a better place.

There’s a sacred space in Kenmore that was built by one of our beloved community members Kimmy Watkins and is maintained with the help of so many others. This prayer garden is a place where many who wouldn’t step into a church gathering come to pray and meet with God. We’re so grateful to be connected to this hallowed ground! Go and visit it at the corner of 18th & Florida sometime. If you'd like to help with the landscaping or any other way, please email us at kenmore@thechapel.life!

Founded in 1901, Kenmore was once known as “America’s fastest growing city,” a self-sufficient village made up of factory workers and families. Now, Kenmore boasts multiple recording studios, guitar luthiers, music and hobby shops, and countless artisans and musicians who embody this creative, expressive, hands-on community.

At the heart of Kenmore is the Boulevard District, which is anchored by the newly renovated Rialto Theatre, Lay's Guitar Shop, and mainstay retailers like the Guitar Department, Kenmore Komics & Games, and E&S Trains and Hobby Shop.

We are candid in Kenmore. What you see is what you get. But we’re also helpful and kind: equal parts passion and compassion.

Everyone is welcome in Kenmore, so we invite you to be yourself here. Then, watch as Kenmore becomes part of you. Learn more about all that the Kenmore Neighborhood Alliance is doing!

Four years ago— Kenny Lambert was homeless, and addicted to drugs & alcohol. The birth of his daughter, Amelia, became the catalyst for his own self-growth. He's now many years sober, and the owner of Just A Dad From Akron. He grew up in the Akron/Kenmore neighborhood and felt driven to inspire change in the community. In March 2020, He made the decision to launch Just A Dad From Akron. It would be more than just a brand. He thought to himself, “This is a movement.” A Movement built to inspire anyone in the community who would listen, to “Be the change Akron needs”.

Just A Dad From Akron sells apparel printed with branding and positive messages to empower the wearer. From there, they use a portion of the proceeds to host free events and offer relief to the community through different outreach programs. Their goal is to continue providing service to the community in hopes to promote change, positivity and inspiration. Learn more about the movement!

The blessing box is something we make available to folks on the street during many of our gatherings and events. We put non-perishable items, school supplies feminine products, books and more in there to bless folks with things that might help them.

Want to help stock the blessing box? Want to help organize it? Email michelle.gregory@thechapel.life!

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles. Now all the believers were together and held all things in common. They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need. Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved. (Acts 2:42-47)
