To make disciples who make disciples by developing missional communities in Kenmore and its surrounding neighborhoods through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, all to the glory of God.
To make disciples who make disciples - We believe that Jesus gave us a clear mission (Matthew 28:18-20), we strive to keep this mission central to who we are as a church.
Kenmore and its surrounding areas – Our vision originates from the Kenmore neighborhood of the city of Akron. However, Akron is a series of overlapping and connected neighborhoods and our hope is that from Kenmore, we will overflow into missional communities in the surrounding neighborhoods as well.
Missional Communities – A Missional Community is a family of missionary disciples sent out to make disciples among a particular pocket of people. Our hope is to develop multiple missional communities that engage and reach those far from God.
Through the Gospel – We believe that Christ died for our sins and was resurrected on the third day. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and the salvation it accomplished are central to who we are as His followers and to the communities we develop. Our desire is to develop missional communities that continually hold The Gospel central in how we worship God, live in community with one another, and serve as a part of God’s mission to the world.
The Power of the Holy Spirit – Jesus told His disciples that the Holy Spirit would be the empowering force to accomplish His mission in the world. We desire to be a campus which is led and empowered continually by the Holy Spirit.
To the Glory of God - Our ultimate desire is to glorify God through being His people in the world. For glorifying God and enjoying Him forever is our chief end.
